Afghan residents fund construction of road after municipality ignores requests

sancharak roadResidents of the Sancharak district of northern Sar-e-Pul province pooled money to construct a 4-km road after the district municipality did not act upon their repeated requests.

Connecting the Frashqan  village to the district center, the road is built at a cost of USD 35,000 and would benefit 2,000 families.

The Municipality could not respond to the residents’ requests due to budget constraints.
