Afghanistan introduces a standard product certification mark

The Afghanistan National Standards Authority (ANSA) introduced for the first time a standard certification mark to identify quality domestic products.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, ANSA head Naqibullah Faiq said the certification mark would be used in all domestic products that contained high quality.
“Products of low quality would not be marked. And, there would be no compromises made and no pressure or any favoritism would be accepted,” said Faiq.
He added that a product passing the standard quality would easily enter the international market and not be rejected.
