in Afghan Business

india afg 2The Afghan government has decided to issue multiple-entry visa to Indian business on a long-term basis in a bid to strengthen economic ties between the two nations.

“Bilateral trade between India and Afghanistan has only witnessed modest growth in last four years and there is urgent need to diversify the exports and imports between the two countries,” said CEO of FIEO, Ajay Sahai.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to that effect will be signed with the Federation of Indian Exports Organizations (FIEO) in the near future.

As part of the New Investment Incentive Policy, the Afghan government offers free lands, concessional electricity and import of machinery without tax for attracting investment on long term basis (10 years) in sectors such as industry, construction, export promotion, agriculture and mining, announced Afghan Ambassador to India Shaida Mohammad Abdali.
