Bamyan farmers to receive small loans

The Afghan Agriculture Ministry has opened an office for the Agriculture Development Fund (ADF) in Bamyan province in an attempt to provide financial assistance to Bamyan farmers.
The ADF would distribute loans from USD 1,000 to USD 2,000 through agriculture cooperatives to more than 1,400 farmers against 7% interest rate for a period of 8 months.
The loans would enable the farmers to increase their agriculture inputs, said Mohammad Tahir Attai, the provincial agriculture director.
