Central Bank sells US dollars to Afghan money exchangers

sarai shahzadaAccording to the money exchangers at Sarai Shehzada, the Afghanistan Central Bank (Da Afghanistan Bank) sold USD 2,400,000 to the money exchangers at an exchange rate of between 51.921- 51.94 today, Tuesday, 5th of February.

This comes after the Central Bank announced in the beginning of this week (i.e. Saturday) about the sales of a total amount of USD 200,000,000 but instead started with USD 18,000,000.

The money exchangers are concerned about the instability of Afghani currency as a result of this action from the central bank.
