Chevrolet opens a branch in Mazar-e-Sharif

chevroletUS giant automobile company Chevrolet has opened a sales center in Mazar-e-Sharif  along with a spare parts center and a workshop.

“We have established an office in Mazar for two reasons–first, security situation is better in Mazar and second, demand for buying these cards is higher in Mazar,” said Sales Director of Chevrolet, David Newman.

Afghan auto market is currently dominated by Japan’s Toyota. However, demands for Chevrolet cars are high.

This comes a few months after Chevrolet had expressed interest in expanding its presence in Afghan auto market. The company’s officials were confident they would a place for the company in the Afghan auto market after closely studying the market before investing.

Chevrolet had its first branch in the capital city of Kabul.
