[1]US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her counterpart SM Krishna discussed the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) project, as part of the last week’s US-Afghanistan-India trilateral dialogue.

“Secretary Clinton and Foreign Minister Krishna reviewed last week’s US-Afghanistan-India trilateral dialogue and discussed regional economic integration projects, including the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) pipeline,” an official said.

SM Krishan announced his support to the Afghan government and its people in their struggle to built a peaceful and democratic country in his address to the UN General Assembly in New York.

“We are ready to partner with the Afghan people as they rebuild their country in accordance with their own priorities and national circumstances. The continuing existence of safe havens and sanctuaries for terrorists beyond Afghanistan’s borders is the major impediment to the restoration of peace and security in Afghanistan,” he remarked.
