Construction of a welfare project begins in Kunar province

On Wednesday, March 4th, the inauguration of a welfare project’s construction in Kunar province was conducted. The project is funded by the National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development.

Shuja Almalik, the Acting Governor of Kunar, Jamaluddin Sayyar, a parliament member, Khan Wali Salaarzai, the head of the national radio & television network and many others were present at the event.

According to the NSP, the main purpose of the project is to build a 300 meter long retaining wall at a reported cost of 2 million and 155 thousand AFN ($37,712) with ten percent contribution from the public. The completion of the project will help over 200 families in the region.
