Emirates to launch flight services in Afghanistan within four months

Emirates Airlines has expressed interest to launch flight services in Afghanistan within four months, said Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials. “After negotiations the company decided that it will start its services in Afghanistan. Emirates has sent a schedule and assured that it will start operating from December,” Tolo News quotes MoFA Minister Daud Ali Najafi.
While this move indicates safety that Afghanistan is able to offer to foreign companies, local companies are feeling threatened by the competition they are bound to face.
A number of local companies have said that the Afghan aviation market cannot accommodate more foreign airline companies.
