EU funded water supply projects launched in Qalat, Zabul

Funded by the European Union (EU), three water supply and sanitation projects have been executed in the villages of Qalat, the capital of Zabul province.
The projects created job opportunities to 3,443 residents and provided potable water to 12,912 people.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD), as many as 76 hand pumps were installed under the National Area-Based Development Program (NABDP), a joint program of MRRD and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
