Fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan International Exhibition

The third exhibition of Afghanistan’s economic development launched today in Dushanbe, Tajikistan and the exhibition will continue until the 28th of March.

Mr. Atiquallh Nusrat, Chief Operation Officer at Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI), said in a news conference that of the 65 exhibition booths, 37 were allocated to Afghan businessmen. Businessmen from China, Tajikistan, Belarus, Kirghizstan and Turkmenistan also had also participated to exhibit their products.

The main objectives of the Exhibition:

1.   Improving and maintaining close business and economic relationship between Afghanistan, Tajikistan and other central Asian countries via Tajikistan.

2.   To exhibit Afghanistan’s products in order to identify potential market segments outside the country and to provide business opportunities for Afghan businesses in Tajikistan and other Central Asian Countries.

3.   To improve the quality of Afghanistan products through the lessoned learned from the feedbacks.

4.   To facilitate the face to face meeting of Afghan businessmen with the Tajikistan and its neighboring countries businessmen

5.   Exchange of business related information in order to improve and maintain close business and economic relationship between Afghanistan, Tajikistan and other central Asian countries via Tajikistan.

6.   To identify potential markets outside the country for doing business in the future and to provide business opportunities for Afghan businesses in Tajikistan and other Central Asian Countries

7.   To create business linkages and networks among the business of Afghanistan and all central Asian countries to create joint business/ joint ventures in Afghanistan, Tajikistan and other central Asian countries.

Exhibitor Profile: More than 100 Exhibitors from Potential Afghan Companies

Visitor Profile: Professional Visitors from Afghanistan, Tajikistan and other neighboring Countries like, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and other Middle East Countries.

Organizer: Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) with the close Cooperation of Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Republic of Tajikistan (CCIRT).

Participants are looking forward to a great turn out, as it is taking place simultaneously with the RECCA (Regional Economic Corporation Conference on Afghanistan) in Dushanbe.

ACCI officials said that the two previous exhibitions were warmly welcomed and more than 70% of Afghan products were sold.

It was also reported in the news conference today that a join exhibition between the Turkish and Afghan businessmen will be launched from 03-05 April, said Mr. Murad Aaqyuz, Secretary to the Afghan-Turk General Commercial and Industrial Association. This association was formed two years ago. Mr. Aqyuz commented on the remarkable development of trade relations between Turkey and Afghanistan in recent years.
