First Auditorium Opened in Ghor Province

Afghan Ministry of Counter Narcotics funded the establishment of the first largest auditorium, costing USD 412,000, in Ghor province.

According to the officials, the province has faced many problems in the past few years due to lack of an auditorium. Shortage of public projects and the lack of a budget for reconstruction projects in Ghor province are one of the main problems faced.

Haji Noor Mohammad Yaqubi, Head of Public Services in Ghor, said that the auditorium, built by Afghan engineers, has a capacity of 400 people at any one time.

“Inauguration of the new auditorium has solved the problems arising from lack of a proper place for official meetings,” said Mr. Yaqubi.

Reconstruction projects are conducted by people in Ghor province, but construction of the new auditorium is the first project carried out by the government since the past five months.
