Ghazni residents still waiting for uplift projects in their districts

ghazni jpgA number of Ghazni residents complain about absence of reconstruction projects in areas where security has improved with the deployment of local police forces.

The government had failed to execute uplift plans in a number of districts due to lack of security; however, now the residents claim the security has been resolved, but there are no signs of reconstruction projects.

Meanwhile, three other towns—Muqur, Andar and Dih Yak—added unemployment as another problem they faced.

Andar District Chief Mohammad Qasim Desiwal assured the dwellers that reconstruction projects are underway. He added a number of schemes were being launched in Painda Mohammad, Sahab khan, Meri and other areas in the near future.

Governor Musa Khan Akbarzada told a gathering on Monday that developmental projects would be launched in areas where the NATO-backed local police forces had been deputed to keep guard.
