Helmand officials call for the construction of a bridge over Kajaki River

Helmand officials have reported about the deterioration of the 140m wooden bridge on Kajaki River that is on the verge of collapse.
The government is urged to construct a concrete bridge as soon s possible to resolve the transportation problems of the dwellers permanently.
According to the district Chief Abdul Razaaq Mazloomyar, an amount of USD 2.5mn was approved for the construction of the bridge, but the project had not been carried out due to security concerns.
