Installation of solar streetlights in Shiberghan

Installation of solar energy streetlights in Shiberghan, the capital of northern Jawzjan province, was executed on Sunday.

According to the city’s Mayor Mohammad Hussain Saleh, 481 poles would be erected along road that will benefit thousands of shopkeepers.

A number of shopkeepers had complained about thefts taking place at night.

Being funded by municipality, the project costs USD 471,698.
