ISAF’s assistance to Afghan women in Baghlan

The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) distributed school and sports supplies to the women in Bagh-e-Zanana in Pul-e-Khumri city of Baghlan.
The supplies included books, sports clothing and volleyballs.
The ceremony was attended by Afghan women activists, Baghlan University’s representatives and Women Affairs Department‘s officials.
Some of the problems and needs of women in the province were addressed in the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Head of the Afghan Women Affairs Department Adela Amiri called on ISAF for further assistance as the aid supplies do not fully meet the requirements of the women in Baghlan.
