LG opens a representative in Kabul

LGThe South Korean electronics giant, LG, which had been selling products over the past six years in Afghanistan without any official announcement has finally launched the sales of its products in capital Kabul.

The move has been warmly welcomed by the deputy head of the Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) Khan Jan Alokozay and said traders should take advantage of the opportunity.

He added these steps expose Afghan people to modern technology and promote foreign investments.

Spokesman for LG, Abdul Wahid Ali Khan, said the company’s representative would promise international-standard items and customer-service for its customers.

According to the Pajhwok Afghan News, the LG representative claimed the company planned opening its sale points in Kandahar, Herat, Nangarhar, Balkh and Kunduz provinces during this Afghan calendar year. The investment would provide employment opportunities to 300 people, he added.
