Nangarhar’s development in 1391

Addressing a Nawroz ceremony, Governor Gul Agha Sherzai said up to 1500 uplift schemes have been executed at a cost of USD80mn over the past 12 months in eastern Nangarhar province.
The customs department generated revenue of USD 200mn last year.
Focus on Nangarhar’s development would continue this year as well, said the Governor.
The new Behsud Bridge on the Kabul River, connecting the eastern Nangarhar province with neighboring Kunar and Nuristan, would soon be built.
The government has allocated USD 2mn for the construction of several bridges in the province including the Jandarma Bridge and Form Hadi Bridge.
Deputy Governor Mohammad Hanif Gardiwal said the government would also build a religious seminary at a cost of 92mn AFN from the development budget of the province.
