National Procurement Committee saves 167mn AFN in contracts

The National Procurement Committee (NPC) claims to have saved 167mn Afghanis in contracts.

According to a statement from the presidential palace, 105mn Afghanis were saved in four contracts of the Interior Ministry and 62mn Afghanis were saved in seven Defense Ministry contracts compared to the previous year’s contracts.

In their meeting on Saturday, the NPC approved 15 contracts of the ministries of Defense, Interior, Education, Labor and Social Affairs and Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) that amounted to 5.9bn Afghanis.

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani directed the Finance Ministry to evaluate the procurement situation in different provinces.
