New Afghan government promises to increase teachers' salaries

ghani ahmadzaiPresident Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai has vowed to improve living conditions of Afghan teachers by increasing their salaries and allocating a piece of land for each teacher.

Addressing the Teacher’s Day ceremony, President Ghani said his government was committed to enhance the education system in the country within the next five years.

He called on the teachers and lectures to support the government’s efforts towards curbing corruption.

President Ghani condemned violence against women and emphasized that men and women should have equal opportunities.
