Newly-Constructed hostel for doctors at Tirinkot Hospital

A new hostel, funded by Australia, was inaugurated at the main hospital in Tirinkot, the capital of central Uruzgan province, on Saturday.

The project cost USD 180,000 and was completed within 6 months.

It will meet the requirements of many doctors who would have to reside in a rented house situated far away otherwise. As a result, they found it hard reaching the hospital in time.

Moreover, the new hostel also provides waiting rooms to attendants who would spend night in the open on dusty ground.

“The structure has eight rooms, a dining hall and other related facilities, congratulating doctors hailing from other provinces on the hostel opening,” said Governor Amir Mohammad Akhunzada.
