Over 18 thousand families benefit from development projects in Herat

With a cost of 165,337,000 AFN, 86 development projects of the National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP) were recently completed in various districts of Herat province.

According to the Provincial Manager of NSP in Herat province, these projects included construction of community centers, protection walls, canals, culverts, schools, water receivers, water intakes, water networks, schools, canals, and exaction of wells along with hand pump installation.

The projects have been implemented in Adraskan, Ghoryan, Gulran, Enjeel, Shendand and Kohsan districts of Herat province and around 18,841 families have benefited from them.

Since its inception, the NSP has expended 5,681,714,062 AFN for implementation of 5,135 development projects in Herat province in various sectors; such as, transport, water supply, electricity, irrigation, education and livelihood.

Thousands of residents of Herat province have benefited from these projects so far.
