Projects worth 16mn AFN executed in Uruzgan province

The National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (NSP/MRRD) recently completed sixteen development projects in Gizab, Shahid Hasas, Dehrawood, Tarinkot, Chora & Khas Uruzgan districts of Uruzgan province.

According to the provincial manager of NSP in Uruzgan province, these development projects included the construction of canals, roads, culverts, deep wells, community centers, protraction walls and public baths.

Approximately, 3,011 families have benefited from these development projects that were implemented at a total cost of 16,852,650 AFN.

Since its inception, the NSP has expended 1,014,679,568 AFN for implementation of 1,011 development projects in various sectors such as education, irrigation, livelihoods, power, transport and water supply and sanitation.

Thousands of residents of Uruzgan province benefited from these projects so far.
