Returnees receive assistance in Nangarhar

The refugees department in the eastern province of Nangarhar on Friday disturbed relief items to returnees in Kunar and Laghman provinces, an official said.

The assistance including tents and other materials was distributed to families in the Kama district of Nangarhar, said Ghulam Haidar Faqirzai, the refugees department head.

Donated by the International Rescue Committee (IRC), relief was also provided to displaced people in Kunar. The aid was given to families without shelter.

It is the first time that the returnees in the area had been provided assistance, Kamal Khan, one of the recipients from Kunar province, said, asking the government to arrange shelter for them.
