Salang roads starting to deteriorate

 salangDrivers have expressed concerns over the deteriorating condition of Salang roads and fear the roads will only get worse when snowing season starts.

According to the drivers, lack of a proper water drainage system has destroyed the roads. With the winter weather setting in, the roads may pose a major hazard to public safety.

Meanwhile, Director of Salang Maintenance, General Mohammad Raja, said precautions had been made in case of dangerous weather conditions along the highway, adding that a major reconstruction of Salang roads will start next year.
