Two schools reopen in Kandahar

kandaharAccording to the Pajhwok Afghan News, two schools reopened in the Panjwai district of southern Kandahar province.

The schools were shut down due to security threats from the Taliban.

Eight more schools are yet to reopen.

Education Director Sher Agha Safi said that residents and tribal elders had pledged their cooperation with the government to reopen the remaining eight closed schools in the district.
