UNHCR[1]Afghan Department of Refugees provided carpet-weaving equipment to 225 families of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in northern Jawzjan province with financial support from the United Nations Higher Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

Each family received a carpet-weaving machine, a chair, two bags of sheep fur, a bucket and related equipment.

According to Director of Refugee and Repatriation Eng. Abdul Karim, the recipients had been displaced from Qush Tepa and Darzab districts due to insecurity there over the past two years.
