Work on 7 NSP projects started in Kandahar province

Kandahar NSPWith a cost of more than 1,600,000 AFN, work on 7 sub-projects of the National Solidarity Program (NSP) of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) recently started in Kandahar province.

According to the Provincial Manager of NSP in Kandahar province, these development projects included drilling of 37 drinking water wells, graveling rural roads in length of 275 meters and construction of irrigation canals. One thousand and four hundred ninety families will benefit from these projects.

Since its inception, the NSP has expended 2,786,965,775 AFN for implementation of 2,903 projects in the stated province which included various sectors, such as transport, water supply, electricity, education and livelihood. Thousands of the Kandahar province residents have benefited from these projects so far.
