Akshay’s Boss fails in Box Office

Akshay Kumar bossAkshay Kumar’s Boss turned out to be another big disaster after Ranbir Kapoor’s Besharam.

The movie had a superb opening and was expected to have a high business, considering its screen count and number of days, but it has failed to cross Rs. 50 crore mark in the domestic market in the nine-day-extended first week.

It has also failed to beat the record of Akki’s Rowdy Rathore, which had much better collection in seven days.

According to OneIndia Entertainment, Boss has collected Rs 40.75 crores at the Indian Box Office in its five-day-extended first weekend and Rs 9 crores on the weekdays. Its nine-day-extended first week domestic collection stands at Rs 49.30 crores nett. Its breakup is Rs 12.75 cr on Wed, Rs 8 cr on Thu, Rs 6 cr on Fri, Rs 6 cr on Sat, Rs 8 cr on Sun, Rs 2.5 on Mon and Rs 2.3 cr on Tue, Rs 2 cr on Wed and Rs 1.75 cr on Thu. However, Rowdy Rathore, which has been the biggest opener for Akshay Kumar, had collected Rs 79.52 crores nett from 2,500 screens at the Indian Box Office in the (seven days) first week. Whereas Boss, which had more screen count and two extra days, was expected to break its opening record, but it has fallen short with a huge margin.
