Toyota and Honda US sales Surged in June
Sale of Japanese carmakers Toyota and Honda went up by 60% and 49% respectively in the US in the month of June, as Japan’s economy recovered from the disastrous earthquake and tsunami.
The decline in fuel process also boosted the sales growth.
Other motor companies like Nissan Motors (28%), Volkswagen (34%) and Ford Motors (15%) also reported a jump in their sales in the US.
These numbers indicate that economic recovery in the US is going in a good pace and that the growth momentum of the manufacturing sector may continue to rise.
“Despite a rising level of uncertainty with the economic recovery, consumers remain resilient in their willingness to purchase new vehicles,” said Jeff Schuster, senior vice president of forecasting at LMC Automotive.
