Afghanistan scores a historic 32-run win over Bangladesh

Ziaur RehmanAfghanistan registered its first win against Test-playing nation by beating Bangladesh by 32 runs in the Asia Cup 2014.

Afghanistan’s Asghar Stanekzai smashed an unbeaten 90 and Samiullah Shenwari made 81 to steer Afghanistan to 254-6 in the match against Bangaldesh on Saturday.

Mohammad Nabi took three wickets, Shapoor Zadran and Hassan took two wickets each while Mirwais Ashraf and Samiullah Shinwari took one wicket each.

The Afghan bowlers managed to restrict the Bangladeshi batsmen in 222 runs in 47.5 overs. Samiullah Shenwari was elected as the man of the match.
