The Afghan National Cricket Team will play Pakistan on Sunday in the United Arab Emirates.
The match will be part of a preparation program for the World Cup next year.
According to Afghan Cricket Board officials, such matches outside of Afghanistan are important to prepare Afghanistan for the World Cup in 2014.
“The cricket team has started brief exercises in Dubai,” Tolo News quotes Cricket Board media officer Farid Hotak. “We have resolved our problems and we hope to defeat Pakistan.”
Afghanistan will face Ireland in the final match of the Intercontinental Competitions. Afghanistan holds the previous championship title for the Intercontinental Cup.
