Afghanistan U-17 football team heads to Azerbaijan for Caspian Cup
10374460_678187688915432_786125299711674705_nThe Afghanistan Under-17 national football team will participate in IV International Tournament Caspian Cup which is due to be organized from 28th May to 6th June.
Officials in Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) said Monday that the Under-17 national football team will depart Kabul on Tuesday and will head to Azerbaijan to participate in the competition.
Afghanistan will play alongside Uzbekistan, Japan, Iran, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Georgia and host Azerbaijan.
The Afghanistan Under-17 national football team plays in Group A alongside Azerbaijan and Belarus. Iran is in Group B along with Azerbaijan U-16 and Kyrgyzstan teams.
Japan has been drawn in Group C along with Georgia and Tajikistan, while Turkey, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are in Group D.
Afghanistan is expecting to face Bulgaria in its first match on 30th of May and host Azerbaijan on 1 June.
