Roshan Afghan Premier League featured De Spinghar Bazan vs Maiwand Atalan at the AFF Stadium, Kabul on October 18, 2012 at 2:30pm. The two teams were vying for the overall APL 3rd place prize, but in an exciting match only one made the cut.
6 minutes into the match, De Spinghar Bazan’s number 17, Zearmal Nayeemi, scored against Maiwand Atalan and turned the pressure on.
Just 2 and a half minutes later, Spinghar’s Fahim Afkar punted from far outside the box and made it in, bringing the score 2:0 in Spinghar Bazan’s favor.
At 27:06, Spinghar’s Sheer Ali Lali hit the ball with his hand, earning a yellow card. In return Maiwand got a free kick, with number 17 Asadullah Razaee promptly making it in the box, bringing the score to 2:1, Spinghar still ahead.
Just after the half at 54:56, Maiwand’s number 9, Faiz Mohammad Faizi, made it in the box, bringing the score to a 2-2 tie and the fans on the edge of their seats.
At 73 minutes in, Maiwand Atalan’s number 10, Mustafa Jobal, drove it into the net, taking the gain to 3:2.
At 92:02, Maiwand and Spinghar’s players collided on the field, earning Spinghar’s Zearmal Haydari a yellow card. Maiwand’s free kick failed to make it into the box.
Game over- with Maiwand Atalan earning a big win. They are now holding at number 3 in this year’s Roshan Afghan Premier League final rankings, taking away $5,000USD for the team.
